Damon said he chatted with experts in filming the film and many of them discussed what would happen today. The Bourne Identity actor, whose daughter-in-law recently contracted COVID-19, says he has spoken with Scott Z. Burns since the start of the coronavirus pandemic.
Scott Burns was the screenwriter for Contagion. It would not be the first time that the film has been mentioned since the start of the pandemic. Gwyneth Paltrow, as she flew to Europe before Paris Fashion Week in February, said that she had already seen how a virus manifested itself in Contagion.
Paltrow joked that she had already “been in this film” before posting a photo of her wearing a mask. Fans of the actress know that she played the role of zero patient in the film.
